High School students attending RISE 2021 in Waukee where they are collaborating with other students in the state about how to become a change agent within our school.
High School LEOs are working with the Lions making pies for fundraising.
High School girls basketball team is on the road scrimmaging.

The sophomore class kept it in-house with their Friday speakers. Coach P and Mr. McDonald shared some of their experiences as teachers, athletic directors, and coaches. Mr. McDonald also shared some of his experiences as an administrator. We hope some of our great sophomores will one day choose to enter education! #EEHKSpartanPride

The food truck contenders were Doreos with Oreo filled donuts, Crack’n Breakfast with breakfast quesadillas, Milkquake with 3 different flavors milkshakes, Slappin’ Smoothies with strawberry smoothies ….

The sophomores continued their career unit with three more guest speakers today. Thank you so much to Joe Rasmussen from Rasmussen, Nelson and Wonio, PLC, Abby Rasmussen from Wayne Hansen Real Estate, and Nick Hughes from Camblin Plumbing and Heating for speaking to our students! We appreciate the community's support in helping our kids find their paths in life.

The sophomores are currently working on a career unit in English 10. This includes an APA career research paper, guest speakers, resume/cover letter writing, mock interviews, and job shadowing. They kicked off their unit with two incredible guest speakers: Dr. Chase Petersen and Brenna Petersen. They are opening up the Stalk Chiropractic & Health in Exira. They shared their educational experiences, career advice, and what it's been like opening their own business in our community. They also answered some great student questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us and inspire our kids! #EEHKSpartanPride

Father David is a local priest who is from Ghana. The 7th graders have been studying about the colonization of Africa and about African coup d'etats. He spoke to the class about his childhood experiences.

Greetings Spartan Families! We will be having Grandparent's and Special Person's Day on Friday, November 19th at the Elementary building. A flyer has been emailed via JMC and will be sent home with students tomorrow. Here is a schedule of what the day will look like:
Morning PreK: 9:45-10:45
Afternoon PreK: 2:00-3:00
3rd, 4th, 5th: 12:15-1:45
K, 1st, 2nd: 1:45-3:15
With written permission from parents (attached at the bottom of the flyer), students are allowed to leave with grandparents when their time is done. We look forward to a great day with grandparents and special friends!
