Hey Spartans! Starting today, Our Spartan Media Students, will be coming out with a series of videos that explain something new that is happening in our grading. As we transition to Standard Referenced Grading, we want to be transparent in the process and such. Our first transition is the incorporation of our Employability Rubric which assesses students on four criteria: Work Ethic, Productivity, Interpersonal Skills, and Personal Responsibility. We feel these four criteria are vital skills in our students' academic careers and also to prepare them for life after graduation in the real world. Below you will see two documents. The first document is what your student is receiving a score for in each class. Students will receive one score per class which is an "average" of the four areas. The second document you see is an example of a student's report card. In the section that is outlined in Maroon is where you will find information for students scores for the quarter on their Employability.

Two Exira-EHK junior high cross country runners competed at the Junior High State Cross Country meet in Ankeny this past Saturday. 7th grader Michelle Wilson finished with a 8th place medal in the 1A race with a time of 13:25. Austin Rasmassen placed 2nd overall in the 8th grade 1A race with a personal best time of 12:04. #EEHKSpartanPride
