On Thursday our 3rd Grade Classes headed to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo! They learned all about the animals and habitats.
Mrs. Dougherty's classes took a trip to the EH Public Library today!

On Tuesday Preschool-3rd graders were invited to the Elk Horn library for some Halloween fun! A big thanks to the library workers and volunteers!

Throughout the quarter, students in the MS/HS carry a Spartan stamp card. Students receive stamps for positive behavior. Once a card is filled out (50 stamps), they turn it into the office. At the end of each quarter, I draw one winner for every 10 cards turned in. We had 118 cards turned into the office (that's 5900 stamps!!). Students received $8 to our Booster Concession Stand (Thank You Booster Club) or a tumbler that they can engrave!

Wednesdays are for BINGO at the Exira Care Center and this week Mrs. Petersen's 5th graders visited and played with the residents! Thanks to the Care Center Staff for excellent hospitality :)
10/17 Friday Celebration brought the first Purposefull People Hall of Fame Inductees (Evelyn Petersen not pictured) in the area of respect. We also had drawings for K-2 aged students.
Last Friday (10/17) the elementary welcomed Christina back for another fun demostration. This month she talked about bats - specifically bats found in Iowa.
